Subject: Atlanta area musicians?
Date: 15 Feb 1995 18:44:55 -0500
I am an acoustic/electric guitarist who is looking
for other musicians in the Atlanta area to jam with.
I am looking to start a psychedelic/blues/jazz/bluegrass/
rockabilly/ska/... sort of thing with all kinds of
instruments. Influences are phish (of course), dead,
hendrix, dylan, r. johnson, widespread, dmb, early
floyd, santana, dinosaur jr, primus, skankin pickle,
blues traveler, dead milkmen, john mayall, clapton
(cream, blind faith), allmans, stones, muddy waters,
howlin wolf, and lots of other stuff i cant think of
right now. Anyways, if you are interested, please
email me (gt0409a@prism.gatech.edu).

There is an old Allan Sherman album called "Allen Sherman, LIVE!
(and hoping you are the same!)" I think that would be cool, if
they could get the copyright approved. Also, i would like a
PYITE, because I've never heard it, to be on the album, along with
a "Possum". The reason for Possum is that in chorus we sang a
song called "Dona Nobis Pacem" and we all said it sounded like
"Donate Obese Possums". I need to hear a Possum, and i'm not
allowed to trade. so, I'm depending on this live CD to learn all
this music that you guys always talk about.

I love you all and if you can find the psychedelic truth, more power to
you because in the doors of psychedelia lies the true spiritual realm of
oneness in the universe. Happiness is powerful, enjoy life.

sorry about the blatant lack of phish content, but there has been alot
of talk about pulp fiction on the net lately so.....
I AM OFFERING COPIES OF THE ORIGINAL QUENTIN TARANTINO SCREENPLAYS TO ANYONE WHO
IS INTERESTED. I HAVE:
Natural Born Killers: very different from the movie, a must have for fans of
this movie, this is how it looked before Oliver Stone got his hands on it!!
Pulp Fiction: some scenes are added, some are changed. includes some great
dialogue between Vincent Vega and Mia Wallace that was left out of the movie.
Reservoir Dogs: Great!!!!! nuff said:-)
True Romance: The screenplay has addiional scenes, plus gives you an idea what
it would have looked like if Quentin had directed it.
All 4 are complete w/Tarantinos descriptions of scenes, sets, and characters.
This allows you to realy get inside his head, which is a very fucked up
place to visit. To order - E-mail me your address and which screenplay/
screenplays you are interested in and i'll send you prices and ordering
procedures. I only have a limited supply, so i will be selling them on a first
come first serve basis. when they're gone, they're gone!!

I recently heard a band in Binghamton, NY (where I go to school) called
Tiajuana Caravan. They funk out MAD hard, and have a very bassy,
somewhat Phishy sound. I bought their tape at the show, and I was
really impressed by their work. If anyone is interested in a copy of the
tape, e-mail me.
Peace,
Jon

: Does anyone know where or what Bear Trap Road is? It's in Utah. Phish played
: there in '88 at something called Fishfest. Is Bear Trap Road some park (or
just
: some road) and is Fishfest just a big festival for fisherman or what? Because
: on the tape I have - it sounds like there's almost no one in the audience.
I have the same tape from '88. Bear Trap Road is not in Utah, it's in
Vermont, and the tape comes from a Keg Party (and probably branched from
a soundboard). Anyway, the labeling I have on the tape is "Keg Party,
Bear Trap Rd., Underhill, VT." Excellent set, too..
Peace,
Jon
